This page is in no way intended to slander the owner of the Days Inn in Butte Montana. It is intended only to convey my experience with my nights' stay there which could have been a pleasant one had it not been for the lack of air conditioning, noise outside the window late, and the complimentary breakfast was served in a room about the size of the hotel rooms. Jr and I arrived here after a good 12 hours of driving. When we entered the room, I turned on the air conditioning but no cool air came out. It was about 85 degrees in the room so I called the front desk and they sent a maintenance person. The maintenance person said to keep thermostat turned all the way down and that he had worked on the unit earlier in the day. He also stated that we would be moved if it didn't cool down. Well, after that JR and I went to Dennys and stuffed ourselves. When we returned to the room it was still hot and humid. At that point, I was too exhausted to move to another room and we had unpacked and settled in before I realized the air conditioner was worthless. We opened the window as it does cool down at night and it was noisy outside our window due to people coming and going. We finally got to sleep around 2:00 A.M. The next day we went to get our complimentary breakfast. Not only was the breakfast room tiny, there was no food and no coffee. So we decided to leave and at that point I decided to stop by the desk to ask the clerk if I couldn't get some kind of concession for the miserable time JR and I had there. He said he could not do it so I asked for the manager. The manager stated that only the owner is allowed to give concessions. Needless to say, I was getting pretty upset at this point. I am not the type of guy that runs around asking for concessions just to save a buck. I don't need the money and I haven't asked for a concession in years. But my stay at this hotel was rotten. I proceeded to drive away and became more angered so I drove back to the motel and left a message for the owner, , pointing out the bad time I had at his motel, along with the URL of this site and my e-mail address. To date I have not even received an apology. This site will remain in place unless a miracle happens and I hear from him. One last item. The room was too costly at $82.00 for the type of room it was! BUT, I would have lived with all the above had our air conditioner been fixed or I given a concession.
